About the Portal

The Nova Scotia Accessibility Directorate’s free, on-demand training is now hosted on the Province’s SkillsOnlineNS portal. Employers and public sector organizations can access a collection of webinars for all staff—while easily tracking progress, completions, and certificates.

Do you know what ableism is and how it affects the daily lives of people with disabilities? This module is meant to support organizations and individuals learn about ableism and ways to prevent. It is for anyone who is responsible for front line services, in communications, education or training, human resources, or working to support inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility. What is the SkillsOnlineNS Training Portal?

The SkillsOnlineNS training portal is a free online learning platform sponsored by the Province of Nova Scotia that helps employers, employees, and job seekers in Nova Scotia build valuable workplace skills. It is powered by SkillsPass, a trusted training delivery platform developed by Canadian provider Bluedrop ISM, and offers a secure way to access training and manage certificates. The portal provides flexible, accessible learning that can be completed anytime, anywhere to support ongoing skills development.
